Well, I am happy to say that my creative juices are flowing again. I got a gift card to Michael's for Christmas (Thanks Paul & Eleoni!) and I have been to the store about three or four times so far this year. Here is a quick and simple Halloween treat idea. I made up two dozen of these in about an hour. The scallop circle is punched from paper by Rusty Pickle and the cute jack-o-lantern is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Trick or Treat. This is my favorite pattern to use for a small gift.  The carton is made from one 12 x 12 sheet of patterned paper by We R Memory Keepers.  You can find the pattern for this carton here.  Once I had the carton folded and taped at the sides and bottom I closed the top with ribbon so that it could be opened without tearing the paper.I will be demonstrating how to put this together at craft club.

My first child is very talented! No bias here.  : ) Last month he auditioned for a place at a performing arts school-AMDA.  (American Musical and Dramatic Academy)  We found out last week that he got in!!!  Just so you know about the competition, last year they auditioned 3,800 people and only 500 were accepted between their two campuses.  They have one in Los Angeles and one in New York.  Jake

Well, he was born almost 17 years ago, technically. Jacob had the lead role in the Spring Musical at his high school. They performed Bye, Bye Birdie four times in three days. I was able to attend all three evening shows and loved every minute of it. Jacob played Albert Peterson. He was cute and funny and has a terrific singing voice. So I mentioned last time that I am taking a cake decorating class. It's the Wilton Method at Michael's. I'm taking the class with my mom and we are having a lot of fun. Well, I'm obviously doing a poor job on my goal to post more regularly! Today I'll tell you about my two day excursion to Palm Springs a couple of weeks ago. I was to meet my dear friend, Beckie at 11:30 at the PS Airport when her plane landed. So off I went, leaving my house around 9am. Shortly after 10am, Beckie called to say that she had missed her connecting flight in Phoenix. Dagnabbit!

Happy New Year! Have you made any New Year's Resolutions? I have. And that's unusual for me. Normally I don't bother. But this year I feel like I need to focus on some things I want to change. My first resolution is to get caught up on my chronological scrap booking. I just finished scrapping Christmas 2005...so that's a full two years to catch up with and then 2008 to do also. Yikes!

Well, who doesn't want more stamps? I know I do! I just love this stamp set! I started with Kraft card stock for the card base. I stamped three of the images randomly using Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa.
